Reading Challenges:
The Big Snow – Feed the birds
Sue Salzsieder recently posted to the Future Ready Librarians Facebook page her second batch of CARE – Create And Read Evening take home bags for our virtual event.
Sue will be reading The Big Snow by Berta and Elmer Hader. In her take home bags are the makings of treats for the wild birds. In the bags are small grapevine wreaths, pinecones, birdseed, peanutbutter (suggested alternative for those with allergies is Sunbutter) and twine. Another suggested book for reading was Night Tree by Eve Bunting. Our bird friends Will Be Thankful! Thank you Sue Salzsieder! How to Make Bird Seed Ornaments – Kid Friendly (no peanut butter). We Can Build A SnowmanNext time a good snow storm is predicted for your community, put out an impromptu snowman challenge. Have them submit their "best" snow creation photos to the library.
